The iPhone has proven quite popular from its original release. There have been some major improvements in both the software and now the hardware. The price will be considerably more for the initial purchase, but a successful sale of your 3G will help. Once you have your 3GS, you can then see out the remainder of your original contract on your new phone.

The new iPhone has a few useful upgrades; however the advancements from the 3G aren't as major as some people think. It has an improved camera with video record, a compass, voice control and better speed. These are great upgrades, but are they really worth all the effort and extra pennies for a couple of extra features? And after all, if you have some patience, and wait out your contract, you could be pleasantly surprised at what the mobile market has to offer in the future.
